Bryce von Deenis was the last volunteer of the Circus of Fun's clowns before they were murdered. During their act, they not only humiliating him by having him stand in a clown mask under an elephant's backside, they also made a dirty limerick involving his name. It was this act that he threatened to kill the clowns for, leading to his investigation after their bodies were found drowned in a clown car not far from the circus that night.

After receiving a free coupon to The Pie Hole, Bryce is interrogated by Emerson Cod and his team when he shows up to claim his pie. He reveals that he and missing girl Nikki Heaps had stayed after the show so she could clean him off. He returned the clown mask and left. Emerson checked on his alibi, which was sound, clearing him of suspicion.
