Stephen Root

Stephen Root (born November 17, 1951, Sarasota, Florida) portrays the recurring role of Dwight Dixon.

Root might best be known for his role as eccentric billionaire Jimmy James on NewsRadio, as well as his performance as the mumbling, red-stapler-loving Milton Waddams in the cult film Office Space. He also had a recurring role on the final two seasons of The West Wing as Republican campaign consultant Bob Mayer, for which he received an Emmy nomination. Among his other well-known movie credits are Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, George Clooney's Leatherheads, and more recently, Drillbit Taylor. He voiced Bill Dauterive, one of Hank Hill's best friends on King of the Hill for thirteen years, and has had recurring roles in Boardwalk Empire and Justified.
